API-equivalent cost versus plan price

Enter a monthly usage profile for one API model. The tool prices the same tokens at the ledger’s per-million-token prices, then compares that cost with the monthly price of the plans that include a named coding tool (Claude Code or Codex).

What is compared, and what is not. A plan is compared only if its ledger row lists the tool in tools_included. The result is a price comparison, not a promise that a plan’s limits cover your usage: vendors mostly do not publish plan allowances as token counts, and OpenAI states that API token prices are separate from subscription usage and should not be used to estimate included tasks.

For example, 10 means 10 million tokens.

For example, 2 means 2 million tokens.
